What's on Sxipper server?

People may want to know if their login ID and password are saved in Sxipper server. The answer is "NO".

There's no password saved on Sxipper server, never, ever. :) So all passwords (together with the login ID) are saved in your local storage - the Firefox password manager. Sxipper just remember some maps for filling web forms on its server.

Firefox password manager

For example, when you go to gmail.com, Sxipper will get a map from server by the specific gmail url. Then it identifies there is a login form with a login ID field, a password field, and a "remember me" field with the help of the map. (To create this map, someone must "train" Sxipper at first.) Then Sxipper will invoke the functionality of Firefox to get the login ID and password to fill the form. For the "remember me" field, Sxipper will use your last choice, which is also stored locally in your Firefox profile.

In another word, none of your private information will be saved in Sxipper server.

How to "Edit" a login?

It's possible that you happen to remembered a wrong password (or even login name). Of cause you want to change it. But you can not actually "Edit" a login. So there are 3 options.

First, you can just delete the wrong one. And then login again to let Sxipper remember the right one. Here is the FAQ for how to delete a login.

Second, if you want to change the password, you can go to the login page, dismiss the login overlay (by clicking anywhere else) and manually login again. Then you will be prompt to "change" your password in the notification area. As below:

Third, you can manually edit the login like this. But it's definitely not recommended.
